ABOUT NICKY

Passionate about art since she was young, Australian based artist, Nicky Kriss believes creativity is in her blood.

Nicky has been painting on canvas and linen materials with acrylic, ink and even house paints FOR THE PAST 9 YEARS, AND SELLING HER WORK JUST AS LONG.

Her main motivation is her creative ‘eye’ for bringing together colour assortments that are intriguing and inspiring, and she is told regularly that her work brings feelings of calm, happiness, peace, energy and optimism.

In 2015, Nicky quickly turned her two-year long hobby creating abstract inspired artworks into a profession, after being featured on Australian renovation TV Series “The Block”. Nicky was commissioned to paint a mind blowing four artworks in one single apartment for Luke and Ebony of WA.

This opportunity propelled Nicky’s name across Australia and her work is now proudly installed in homes across the nation, and fortunately internationally; United Kingdom, USA and Canada.

April 2016 was her first exhibition - artexpo [SOLO] New York, showcasing her work on an international level. The same year, Nicky participated in “Art and Colours” a group exhibition in London.

Nicky regularly shows her works at markets around Victoria, and has gradually extended her range to include stationery, yoga mats, beach towels and other small GIFTS AND HOME DECOR products.

Nicky is proudly partnerING with the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre AND LOVE YOUR SISTER,

and in recent years has supported Good Friday Appeal, Brainwave Australia, Epilepsy Action Australia and Art for Bales (Rural Aid) through the sales and donations of artworks AND PRODUCTS.

When not elbow deep in paint, Nicky’s other passion is working as an early childhood educator, about to complete a University qualification; Bachelor of Early Childhood.

Nicky has traveled the world, with Byron Bay & Los Angeles as destination's that hold a special place in her heart. Nicky loves being by the ocean, watching a good sunrise or sunset and to spending time with her family and friends is very much important.
